Chunda a popular condiment used with Indian meals.
2 cup grated green apple
1 cup sugar
½ cup Jaggery powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1tsp cumin seeds
Add 2 cups of peeled and grated apple to a pan.
Add 1 cup of sugar, ½ cup jaggery, 1 tsp salt and ¼ tsp turmeric powder.
Cook on a low flame stirring occasionally or till it comes to one string consistency
Switch off the flame and add roasted cumin seed and chilli powder.Mix well.
Apple chunda is ready now.Serve with theplas, rotis, puris and parathas. You can also spread it on a toast.
Green Apple Chutney
1 green apple
1 cup coriander leaves
2 or 3 green chillies
1 piece of Ginger
1 tsp cumin seed
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Combine all the ingredients in to a blender and blend into a smooth paste.
Don’t add water while grinding the chutney.
Lipsmacking chutney is ready now. Serve it with Rotis, Pooris, Idli. Dosas or with Bread.
