Dry Ginger Coffee or Chukku Kaapi

Dry Ginger Coffee or Chukku Kaapi is a perfect drink to have particularly in winter or on rainy days. It is a natural home remedy for cough and cold.

Ingredients

½ tbsp dry ginger powder

½ tsp black pepper powder

½ tbsp instant coffee powder

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp coriander seeds crushed

1 tbsp palm jaggery/jaggery

2 cups water

10 tulsi leaves

Method

Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Add in jaggery once the water is boiling and stir till it dissolves.

Once jaggery is dissolved add in dry ginger powder, cumin seeds, coffee powder. Black pepper and coriander  powder  and boil for about  5 minutes.

Now add the tulsi leaves and boil for another 2 minutes.

Strain the Chukka Kaapi/Dry ginger coffee into serving cups and serve hot.
