Sundal is a healthy legume stir fry prepared during the Navratri festivals which is offered as neivediyam. It is also served as a evening snack.. Today I am going to share a sweet sundal which is made with the green gram, Jaggery and coconut flavoured with cardamom powder. So for this Navratri try this easy sweet sundal.
Ingredients
½ cup green gram
1/3 cup powdered jaggery
¼ cup grated coconut
¼ tsp cardamom powder
Water as required
Method
Soak the green gram for 6 hours. Pressure cook the soaked green gram with little water for around two whistles or till they are soft but not overcooked. Drain the water and keep aside.
Boil the jaggery with little water till it melts. Strain and remove the impurities.
Boil the strained jaggery in a pan then add the cooked green gram along with cardamom powder and mix well. Let it cook till the jaggery water dries up and is well blended with green gram.
Finally ad grated coconut and mix well
Green gram sweet sundal is ready to serve.
