Next in our food journey is to Mizoram which is one of the states in the seven sister states. The recipe I chose today is a very spicy green chilli chutney from Mizoram. It is a tangy and spicy chutney which locals of Mizoram prefer to have with their main dishes. I made a small amount of this chutney and this chutney tasted great with curd rice. This would also tastes great with dosa or Roti.
10 Green chillies
1 finely chopped onion
1 tsp grated ginger
Salt to taste
Roast the green chillies in a pan in low flame until the skin is charred and darkened. Let the chillies cool a little.
In a blender add the roasted green chillies and salt. Grind it to a coarse paste without adding water. (you can also use a pestle and mortar to crush the green chillies)
Transfer this to a bowl and then add the grated ginger and chopped onion and mix well.
Serve it with rice.
