After Manipur let us travel to Meghalaya- the seven sister state in north eastern India. Meghalaya means ‘ the abode of clouds’ in sanskrit. Rice is the staple food and is called Ja. This time I made Ja dai a very popular dish among the Khasi community of Meghalaya which is tasty and a healthy recipe. Ja dai is basically rice based dish in which rice is cooked with lentils. It can be served with curd or with any vegetable curry.
