Stuffed idli is a delicious breakfast recipe filled with spicy potato stuffing. If you are bored of having the same idli recipe again and again and this recipe of potato stuffed idli is surely perfect for you.
3 cups idli batter
2 boiled potatoes
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
¼ cup boiled green peas
1tsp grated ginger
Few coriander leaves finely chopped
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, green chillies and chopped onion and fry until they turn pinkish in colour
Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes, green peas and salt to it. Mix well
Add the chopped coriander leaves and mix it properly.
Allow the masala to cool then make small balls out of the mixture and flatten them as patties and keep aside.
Grease the idli plates and switch on the steamer with enough water
Pour 1 tbsp of idli batter into each impression
Place the potato stuffing press gently.
Pour again 1tbsp idli batter to cover the filling
Steam the idli for 10-12 minutes. Unmould the idli plate
Serve hot this lip smacking stuffed idli with chutney.
