Post No.111
Dosa is a kind of breakfast which all the family members love to eat. Today I thought of posting a crispy whole wheat dosa recipe little similar to Ada dosa. Unlike the other traditional dosa recipe, whole wheat dosa does not require fermentation. Trust me you all will love to have it.
Ingredients
2 cup whole wheat
1 cup raw rice
2 medium size Finely chopped onion
1tbsp crushed black pepper
1 tbsp crushed red chilli
2 tbsp chopped curry leaves
1 tsp cumin seed
Salt to taste
Method
Wash and soak whole wheat grains and rice for one hour. (It should not be over soaked)
Coarsely grind the soaked wheat grains and rice into a thick batter.
Add salt, chopped onions, black pepper crushed red chilli, cumin seeds and chopped curry leaves to the batter and mix well. No fermentation is required, straight away you can start making dosa.
Heat a dosa skillet and pour a ladleful of batter and spread it in round shape. Make sure the batter spread is slightly thicker than normal dosa.
Drizzle 1 teaspoon oil around the edges. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bottom surface turn light golden brown. Flip it gently and cook the other side. Crispy whole wheat dosa is ready. Transfer it to a plate.
Serve it hot with coconut chutney or tomato onion chutney.
I like the way you have been used fresh wheat grains to make Dosa 👍
