Simple ingredients and a few minutes time is all you need to make perfect home made pancakes. They are light, fluffy and only require simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand in your kitchen. Maple syrup is a classic topping option for pancakes. You can also top the pancakes with a pat of butter or fresh fruits and whipped cream.

1 egg
¾ cup milk
2 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
A pinch of salt

Butter
Method
In a bowl mix together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder
Then stir milk and egg together
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour melted butter, vanilla essence and milk into the well
Whisk this into a smooth batter. Keep in mind that pancake batter will be thick.
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and add a knob of butter
