Our next stop in the journey of signature dishes of India is to this beautiful state. So don’t miss out this mouth watering dish – Dabbroo a sweet preparation popular in the Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh. They are similar to pancakes and are made using wheat, ghee and milk. They are cooked as snacks as well as special desserts for occasions.
Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup water
10 teaspoon ghee
Method
In a bowl combine wheat flour and sugar. Mix them well
Pour milk and water to this and whisk it well to make a smooth batter
Heat a dosa pan on a medium flame. Spread the batter in a circular form and make it as thin as possible.
Drizzle ghee all around the edges and cook till the sides are golden brown in colour.
Gently flip over and cook the other side for a minute
Remove from the pan and serve warm
