An easy dosa recipe made with rice flour and urad dal flour. No soaking and grinding of lentils required. An easy bachelor’s recipe.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cup rice flour
3/4 cup urad dal flour
1/4 teaspoon Methi powder(optional)
Salt as required
3 1/2 cup water
Oil as required
Method
Add rice flour, urad dal flour and methi powder into a mixing bowl
Add water and mix well. The batter has to be smooth and with out any lumps
Allow to ferment for 10 hours
Once the batter is fermented well, then add salt to the dosa batter and mix well
Heat an iron tawa and lightly smear with oil
Take a laddle of he batter and gently start spreading in circular rounds
Drizzle oil on the top. when one side of dosa is browned, flip and cook the other side
Fold the dosa and serve with coconut chutney or sambhar
Set dosa
Pour a ladle of batter on tawa and allow it to spread on its own. Set dosa is little thick and fluffy
Cover the dosa with a lid and allow to cook for a few minutes
Once it is cooked remove it from tawa
Serve with chutney, podi or sambar
