Kesar Peda with Condensed Milk

Pedas are very popular Indian sweet made of Milk and Sugar. The traditional way of making pedas are a bit time consuming. To make it easier this recipe uses condensed milk and Milk powder




2 tsp Ghee

1 tin condensed milk

1 1/2 cup Milk Powder

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

2 tsp saffron milk (Few strands of saffron mixed with 2 tsp warm milk)

Few Badam or any other dry fruit




Heat one tea spoon of ghee in a pan and add condensed milk and milk powder

Mix well by keeping in low flame till the condensed milk melts completely

Keep stirring till the mixture thickens

Now add the saffron milk and mix well in low flame


When the mixture thickens and start to separate from the pan add cardamom powder and one teaspoon of ghee

Mix well and turn of the stove and leave it to cool for some time

Make balls by greasing the hands with ghee and place Badam or any other dry fruit at the center and press gently

Now the Kesar Peda is ready to serve
