Idli Fry is one of the easiest snack made out of leftover Idlies. Never use fresh idli for this. Kids love them with their favourite tomato sauce
Ingredients
4 idlies
Oil for frying
Salt as required
Chilli powder or Idli podi a pinch
Method
Cut the idlis into fingers
Heat oil in a kadai .Add the idli fingers and deep fry till light golden
The fried idlies should be crisp from outside and soft from inside,
Remove the fried idlies to a paper towel lined plate, to remove excess oil.
Sprinkle some salt and red chilli powder or idli podi on top
Serve the idli fry with coconut chutney or tomato sauce
