Steamed Carrot Cake



Flour  – 1 ½ cup

Baking powder  – 1tsp

Baking  soda       – 1tsp

Salt                      – ¼ tsp

Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp

Grated  carrot         –  1 cup

Sugar                         –  ¾ cup

Oil /ghee                    – ¼ cup

Milk                           – ½ cup

Vanilla essence         – 1tsp

Raisins and nuts (optional)


In a small mixing bowl, whisk flours, cinnamon powder, baking powder, Baking soda and salt together until well combined. Set aside. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix the  carrots, sugar, oil, and raisins and nuts together until well-combined. Add the flour mixture into the sugar mixture and mix until just combined. Pour batter into prepared cake pan, cover with foil, and steam for 40 to 50 minutes.
